Shannon has built an extensive and diverse career in dance, choreography, and bodywork spanning over 25 years. Her foundational training began at the prestigious Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, where she immersed herself in classical ballet. She further expanded her artistic expression studying Dance and Theatre at Rudra Béjart Ballet in Switzerland, renowned for integrating diverse movement forms and theatrical artistry. Additionally, she cultivated a deep passion for improvisational movement, studying Contact Improvisation with respected pioneer Peter Bingham at EDAM in Vancouver.
Throughout her prolific career, Shannon has performed, taught, and choreographed internationally, leaving her mark in vibrant dance communities across Canada, Sweden, Germany, and Brazil. Known for her dynamic teaching style and creative choreography, she continually inspires her students and collaborators through a nuanced blend of technique, improvisation, and embodied expression.
Complementing her extensive dance background, Shannon transitioned into therapeutic bodywork, completing rigorous training to become a Registered Massage Therapist. Licensed since November 2020, she now integrates her profound understanding of movement, anatomy, and wellness into a holistic practice dedicated to physical health, injury prevention, and performance enhancement. Shannon’s multifaceted expertise bridges the art of dance with therapeutic modalities, enriching her contributions to both the dance and wellness communities.
